SK!NT
Independent Nightlife · Events · Music · Culture
SK!NT is an independent nightlife and cultural brand founded in East London in October 2012 by Levi Hibbert, who continues to lead the brand as its Founder and Creative Director.
Built around the discovery of emerging talent and the development of new event concepts, SK!NT has created spaces for underground music, artists and experimental ideas to connect with audiences across London and beyond.
Beginning in the docks of East London and the basements of Shoreditch, SK!NT developed from a grassroots events project into an established independent platform, producing events and collaborations across some of London’s most recognised nightlife spaces, including Ministry of Sound, XOYO, Studio 338, Brixton Jamm, The Renaissance Rooms and Juno.
The brand has also collaborated with organisations and collectives including RoughHill and the Milkshake, creating opportunities for emerging DJs, producers, performers and creative practitioners.
Creative Direction
As Founder and Creative Director, Levi Hibbert has been responsible for shaping SK!NT's creative direction from its inception — developing the concepts, visual identity, graphic design, brand architecture and overall creative language of the platform.
From naming and developing new event concepts to designing promotional campaigns, artwork and digital communications, Levi has led the creative development of SK!NT across its different stages of growth.
This hands-on approach has allowed the brand to continually evolve while maintaining a recognisable visual and cultural identity. SK!NT operates as both an events platform and an ongoing creative practice, where strategy, design, music, performance and nightlife culture intersect.
Developing Emerging Talent
At the heart of SK!NT is a commitment to discovering and platforming new talent.
Through club nights, DJ showcases, artist programming and experimental event concepts, SK!NT has consistently sought to create opportunities for artists working outside the mainstream. Previous residents and featured artists have gone on to work with organisations and platforms including Rinse FM, Beatport and Red Bull.
The brand's ethos is captured in its longstanding motto:
“You can’t afford to miss this…”
Expanding the Platform
In September 2015, SK!NT expanded its activities into the Netherlands, extending the brand's international reach while continuing to develop its London programme.
Alongside its club-focused work, SK!NT has explored the intersection between nightlife, live music and contemporary performance practice, developing concepts that bring together DJs, producers, live performers and artists from different creative disciplines.
This approach reflects SK!NT's broader ambition: to treat nightlife not simply as entertainment, but as a space for culture, community, experimentation and creative expression.
A Continuing Creative Practice
More than a decade after its launch, SK!NT continues to operate as an independent platform for developing ideas, artists and audiences.
What began as a grassroots nightlife project has developed into a long-term creative practice shaped by Levi Hibbert's creative direction, cultural research and design approach.
From underground club nights and visual campaigns to new event concepts, collaborations and experimental projects, SK!NT continues to evolve through changing musical and cultural landscapes while maintaining its original commitment to independent talent, underground culture and the creation of experiences that audiences genuinely want to be part of.
